Role Description

As a Software Development in Test Intern on the Mobile Quality Engineering team, you will play a crucial role in tackling challenging technical QE-related opportunities that will have direct impact on the productivity of our iOS and Android developers. Working alongside Senior Quality Engineers and Senior SDET’s, you will have the unique experience of understanding our release process and the crucial role that the QE department plays in streamlining the testing that supports each product release.
Responsibilities

Working closely with Quality Engineering and cross-functional partners to track leading risk indicators (ex: scalability, reliability, consistency, performance) during the SDLC and advocating for strategic data tracking (alerting/monitoring/logging) during development.
Setting up, expanding, and maintaining test automation frameworks used to verify Dropbox’s iOS and Android applications, and building and automating test scenarios and acceptance tests.
Requirements

Currently pursuing a BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field involving coding (e.g., physics or mathematics), or equivalent technical experience (graduating in/after Dec 2023)
Clear understanding of Quality Engineering best practices
Experience developing basic scripts (ex: command line), automation scripts, simple test tool development
Basic understanding of automation frameworks, test infrastructure
Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines and supporting tools (ex: Jenkins)
Python development/scripting experience
